What it is.
Hot stone massage uses smooth basalt stones, heated in water to a comfortable temperature, both placed on the body (along the spine, on the palms, behind the knees) and used by the therapist as massage tools. The warmth penetrates deeply. The pressure ranges from light to medium-firm depending on whether the stones are placed or actively used.
Who it suits.
For Dubai's cold months. For persistent muscle tension that does not quite respond to standard massage. For anyone always cold, even in summer. For the body that needs warming as much as it needs working.
What to expect.
12 min
Arrival
Setup is slightly longer because the stones must heat. Three questions, plus a temperature check on the stones before we start.
8 min
Opening
Stones placed along the spine and on palms while the therapist begins long strokes with warm oil.
35 min
The work
Stones are used as tools — long sweeping strokes with warm stones across the back, shoulders, legs. Some stones stay placed throughout, providing constant warmth.
5 min
The close
Stones removed gradually. A few minutes in stillness. You are left feeling unusually warm.
What we bring.
A small portable stone heater, the basalt stones, the standard kit.
What you'll need.
A room with a power outlet near the table for the stone heater. Otherwise standard.
Add-ons.
- Aromatherapy upgrade (+30 AED)
- Extra 15 minutes (+40 AED)
Who carries it.
Therapists certified in hot stone technique. At booking you will see which.
Honest answers.
How hot are the stones?
Comfortably warm. Around 50–55°C. The therapist tests temperature on her own arm before placing or using on you.
Are there any reasons I should not book this?
Yes — if you have heart conditions, high blood pressure, are pregnant, or have skin conditions affected by heat. Mention it at booking and we will guide you to a different service.
Will it leave me oily?
Slightly more than standard massage because oil is used alongside the stones. A warm shower an hour or two afterwards is recommended.
